When I first saw this recipe, I thought ‘I’ve done this before’…but it wasn’t as neat as using a Mason Jar to minimize mess, clean up and storage. Sometimes even the smallest tweeks feel like the biggest victories.
This is how easy it is.
Put all of these ingredients in a Large size Mason jar (buy at grocery store or online at my Amazon store):
- 1 1/4 cup nut milk (I used coconut)
- 1/2 tbsp maple syrup (Omit if on Low Sugar Diet, try 100% Stevia instead)
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
Shake the jar, and your hips for about 30 seconds, then refrigerate overnight (or 4 hours).
Garnish with berries of your choice, coconut flakes or whatever else spices it up to your taste bud preference. Remember, berries contain a TON of enzymes to help better digest your meal. And the more of those we have, the better we look and feel overall.
My take on eating nourishing, loving foods for us is that it’s not so much the ‘what’ to eat, it’s the systems to simplify the lifestyle…what do you think?
